The Blanketing Families, Inc. Founder and President, Annette Hammond, is a two-time cancer survivor of breast cancer and leukemia (AML). On her journey, she’s had lots of love and support from family and close friends, and is ready to give it back! I have received a few different “covers” or blankets, quilts, and throws during my treatment process.
Annette teamed up with her twin sister Ann, and the rest is history. The two and their loyal volunteers can be found spreading warmth and kindness in Finley park!
Blanketing Families, Inc is dedicated to the community. We work hard to serve the community throughout the year providing seasonal appropriate donations. From cancer patients to vets, and everyone in between, if you’re in need, homeless or just hungry, we’ve got you covered! And most importantly, we do all of this while treating our donatees with respect and humility.
Blanketing Families’ mission is to “cover” families throughout the year, with your help of course! By donating house hold items to include gently used or new blankets and clothing, toiletries, and fresh and/or non-perishable food and water we can continue to cover families, Veterans, Cancer patients and anyone else in need every season and all year with hope + kindness. In humility we value others above ourselves.
Blanketing Families, Inc. is all about giving from the heart. Genuine giving with joy, not looking for anything in return.
My compassion for others drives me to help others in need, whether it's a smile, hello, good morning, a hug or prayer. It's my God given gift.
