The Blanketing Families, Inc. Founder and President, Annette Hammond, is a two-time cancer survivor of breast cancer and leukemia (AML). On her journey, she’s had lots of love and support from family and close friends, and is ready to give it back! I have received a few different “covers” or blankets, quilts, and throws during my treatment process.
Annette teamed up with her twin sister Ann, and the rest is history. The two and their loyal volunteers can be found spreading warmth and kindness in Finley park!
Blanketing Families, Inc is dedicated to the community. By collecting and making winter bedding and accessories, our hope is to provide the community with warmth through giving. From comforters to duvets and throws to gloves, hats and scarves, warming the community is we what we love to do.
Blanketing Families’ mission is to “cover” families every winter, with your help! By donating gently used or new blankets we can to cover families and Veterans in need every winter and keep them warm with hope + kindess. We also provide water and toiletries to those in need and Veterans during the Summer. In humility we value others above ourselves.
Blanketing Families, Inc. is all about giving from the heart. Genuine giving with joy, not looking for anything in return.
My compassion for others drives me to help others in need, whether it's a smile, hello, good morning, a hug or prayer. It's my God given gift.
